Our History In Uvalde
Our Uvalde Chapter was created on May 25, 2022 a day after tragedy struck the city of Uvalde Texas. Without hesitation our San Antonio team headed to Uvalde and set up in the town plaza. As one of the first nonprofits on ground, we provided fruit, water, stuffed animals, and mental health resources for anyone in need.
Since then our relationship with the Uvalde community has developed into unique initiatives to provide education and resources to support mental health and wellness, building community across the world, and most importantly remembering the 21 lives lost .

Honoring the 21
May 24th marked the 2nd year memorial of the tragic events at Robb Elementary. As a community, we gathered to honor and remember the 21 precious lives lost due to a senseless act.
In preparation for this solemn day, our Starbucks community partners aimed to reflect true acts of kindness in memory of each of those lost. Thank you Ms. Nancy Martinez for making this possible. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Elina Ybarra, who hand painted each personalized box, and to the 21 Starbucks partners who lovingly filled each box with the favorite things of those we remember.
In order to keep sharing their stories, Maya’s Love has created these beautiful booklets in English and Spanish. This tribute is lovingly dedicated to the twenty-one precious lives lost at Robb Elementary School. It stands as a heartfelt testament to their memory and the lasting impact they have left on their families, friends, and community. We come together to honor and remember these cherished individuals, each one forever holding a special place in our hearts. Through this tribute, we aim to preserve their memories in the most heartfelt and meaningful way, ensuring their spirits continue to shine brightly.
